Did you see it? Did you see the mask fall from his face, did you see him willingly drop from the high precipice, did you see him reveal his true nature just before his suicide? Did you see him drop into the frothy sea of white horses, did you see all the illusions drop from his eyes, did you see him exposed to the awful truth, did you see all these things that have been fulfilled among us? Did you hear it? Did you hear his loud proclamation from the rooftops, did you hear his voice booming out just before he died, did you hear the thunder, did you hear his weeping? Was he weeping before the truth he had been exposed to, was he weeping for his lost falsity, for his lost false pleasures and delights, for his lost illusions? Did you see him make plain to the world what he is, what he was, what he will forever be? Did you see him shatter the illusions of the world, and pluck the falsity out of the world? Did you see it? Did you see all the things that have been fulfilled among us this day? Did you see what we have lost to the sea of white manes, to the sea of thundering hooves? Has all falsity died, then, and are we exposed to terrible truth, and has hell burst its bonds, and have we been flooded with hell? Is this why so many of us weep and weep, for the lost sweet soul that has fallen into the sea of white manes and hooves, for the large and gentle sufferer who has dropped into the whiteness of the horses and the whiteness of dreamless sleep?
