The times have been separated from the times and the waters have been separated from the waters. This is why we dismiss these things by saying, "Those times are past." For the times are locked away in a box, as it were, and a wide gulf separates the times from the times. But I have found a way to siphon the waters separated from the waters into the waters; and thus the gulf between the times is breached, and we are made to live in dreaming times and wide mysterious times and open times. And you can see my hot blue eyes and my blotchy feverish face. This is why in my delirium I say, "Art thou my savior?" to everyone I see, even if he is a homeless wanderer as tormented as I. For I have come seeking my savior, and I have not found him yet, not yet; for on the waves come in the old deities, and Blue Krishna looks to them and says, "How sad." And little eels make a home of one deity, they crawl inside and make a little nest of the deity; and so Blue Krishna says to Blue Mary of the black eels, "How sad, how very sad." And indeed, as Krishna is playing his flute and leading the saved souls away into bliss, I am blind and wandering into the dragon's mouth, and Krishna is weeping as I am wandering into the dragon's mouth. For the times have been separated from the times and I do not live in the times I live in, I live in other times - times other than the times I live in; and the waters also have been separated from the waters, and I am drowning in waters other than the waters I am swimming in.
