He has gone and plundered the treasures of the divine, and those treasures have become wormwood to him, and terrors to him. We saw him entering the other world; like doctors and nurses we tried to care for him, and help him back into health; but he slipped through our hands and fell into madness; for he has seen the other world and seen what no human eye has seen, and this has broken him down, so that he has been made a broken and weary man. As he lay on his bed with that fever we stood by his bedside and nurtured him, and cared for him, and saw to it that he would not die; we tried to catch him before he fell into madness, but he slipped past our fingers, thinking we were devils and demons, and fled from us into the world of the insane. And now he silently stands at hell's mouth, and keeps hell's mouth shut, lest hell overtake the earth with terror, and coat the earth in terror. And indeed his mission is the reason for all existence, his suffering the reason for all creation; and if he succeeds he shall be glorified, and if he fails hell shall coat the earth in terror and suffering. Many would seek to kill him were they to know of him, and devils and aliens seek to kill him nightly.
