The sun looks inward into himself, and tries to comprehend his inner self; and thus he appears from the outside to shine with bright light. But the moon grows afraid in the darkness of night and tries to see what is around him, he tries to see everything that sits outside all around him - and thus he does not appear so bright to us, but looks like an old man squinting into the night. But the sun, looking into himself, and seeing the bright darkness within himself, explodes with light, as it were, and is a bright beacon of light. And so the sun is pure wholeness - his light is his own inner sense and inner life.
