It came and went with the dry desert wind: it was I, and I was once among you, only for a little while, and then gone. For it was said of me from the beginning, "I shall put him out into the world for a little while, and then pluck him from the world," and thus I was here for a little while, and then I disappeared with the dry desert wind: for I blew through the space between, and no one noticed me, not one. And so the dry scrub-cactus looks like it has armor on, lying low to the ground with all sorts of prickly armor, and nothing can pierce its armor. For I came and went with the dry desert wind: it was I you heard blowing and howling that morning, when you were awoken by the howling wind: that was I being taken from the world with the wind, both beginning and ending with the wind.
