Long ago you arose out of the sea, this was your origin and so you surround yourself with things of the sea and the nature of the sea. You were not born: you arose out of the sea; and I was not born: I fell down from the heavens: we are the twins who share a common nature and a common body: we are lovers with a common body. We fight our battle in the hearts of men, and war with one another in the hearts of men. We are the generals made of the souls of men, and whereas I take men down into hell to be made pure with suffering and agony, you bring souls on into heaven for drunken orgies and decadence. My souls are the saints who suffer and do penance in hell; your souls are the pleasure-seekers who concern themselves with the things of the body in the heavens, and pervert their bodies in the heavens. The glory of the light shines down upon us both, and we are glorified in the light, our blades shining in the sun, our bodies made of the holy substance of the Lord.
