It is a cosmos that this book describes. For there is a cosmos inside of me, with every part working in accord with every other part; and this is a portrait of the cosmos within. For we need no longer open doors to look outside; rather, we need to open doors to look within; and what is without is really within; and astrophysics is the study of the worlds within. There is much decay inside of me; I am constantly decaying and disintegrating; and as I decay I give off an energy; and that energy flows through my fingers and onto the page. This book is a record of my decay; and I leave a little mirror image of the cosmos within myself out on the page as I decay. Every field of study is the study of the worlds within us, and this book is a record of the cosmos within, with every part working in accord with every other part, a perfect system, the stars, planets, and phases.
