A suicide is a living work of art. He is more than a personal commentary--he is a commentary on the entire nation and perhaps the world. A suicide, any suicide can be examined and commented upon as lengthily as any painting or sculpture. And the ones who do not commit suicide, but do not want to live, are looked down upon by God and the angels, and the angels constantly comment on their fallen lives and look at the way they live, and discuss among themselves what sort of social commentary such a life is trying to make. A life is a work of art, and the angels are constantly going over our lives as we live them, and discussing among themselves what kind of statement they think we are making by how we live--they discuss such fallen lives as so many of us lead here in Denver and say to one another, "The pain of the fallen is a poignant thing."
