JSR: Is heaven, then, our final goal? Once we have entered, are we able to stay forever and ever?

Ezekiel: As long as we continue to do good works in the heavens, we will rise higher and higher—and there is no end to the bliss in the heavens, but life gets better infinitely. As long as those in hell continue to torment their fellows, they will sink lower and lower—and the agony in hell gets worse and worse infinitely, and there is no worst state, but hell gets more and more terrible

until suffering is added to suffering,

and agony to agony;

and finally the ones in this realm say,

"This is the worst pain

that could possibly exist in the cosmos;

this fire could not get any hotter, this flesh could not be more tortured."

And those in a hell world a billion times lower will reply,

"If only we could live in your world:

that would be like bliss to us,

for the magnitude of our suffering

is increased beyond comprehension."
