We bring in foreign objects, and use them in worship. You know, things we find in alleyways. You often see the poor reading Bibles on buses. They look like riffraff. The nights are hot with light. Everything around me is in motion. All the people, all the cars—the harmony of the traffic. They move in systematic patterns and predictable formulas. This is because they are all harmonies in a vast harmonic System. No one wants to be out of harmony. When one is out of harmony there is a car accident, jobs are lost, promotions are not given, relationships are broken. When one is out of harmony one is conscious one doesn’t have what everyone ought to have, that one can’t buy what everyone ought to buy. Everyone is in harmony. The homeless are not in harmony. They make us uncomfortable.
