The reflections: the hallucinations. All this was revealed to me by means of hallucinations. This is a record of all the hallucinations and dreams. For I wished to understand all things, but Ezekiel has said to me, "All I have revealed to you are lies." And I realized this was only one side of things, and stories that are told to children to make them behave. For the world enters us through the eyes, and the world enters us through the mouth; and we become shaped and formed by the world, so that everything within reflects everything without, until our inner hallucinations are reflections of the world, and express the nature of the world.
