Listen to my soft voice, for I tell you something difficult and mysterious. The impossible is legal. This is legal impossibility. Everything they do is impossible, but they have legalized impossibility; and thus they do the impossible, and torment us with the impossible. You wonder how people become homeless. You see them on the street and say, "I don’t know how that happens." It happens through legal impossibility. For the System has said, "We shall put the people under a deep sleep." But some could not be made into harmonies in the System, some could not be put to sleep. And so the System said, "We shall legalize impossibility, and torment them with the legal impossible; and thus they shall be poor and scattered, and unable to make revolution against us." But legal impossibility has strengthened our minds, and hardened our minds, so that we are strong and do not feel pain; and we take a stand on the secret battlefield, and kill them daily on the secret battlefield. We are guerillas fighting on the side of wakefulness, and we are the ostracized ones who are awake.
