I saw you looking into that mirror, I saw you looking and I saw your name fall dead over your image, I saw you utter your name before that mirror and I saw the name you uttered fall down to the floor, dead, a senseless sound, and it would not attach itself to your image, you were a ridiculous pile of flesh with nothing to call it, your name fell dead to the floor, an equally ridiculous arbitrary sound, an equally ridiculous random juxtaposition of syllables, your name wouldn’t attach to your body, you were naked before yourself, looking deep into yourself, and suddenly your consciousness was made of light, you thought this was all very frightening, you wished to revive your name and never find yourself in this strange place again, you ceased looking at the mirror, you picked your name up off the floor and cradled it, saying, "Never leave me naked again" . . .
