O human beings,

do not aspire to be gods,

or mourn for your pitiable state as mortals,

any more than the mountain cat,

or the bottom-feeding carp;

certainly they know their duty as mortal creatures,

and do it well;

and in God too all things are spontaneous,

as the prophet has said;
